I don’t know about anyone else but I’m getting pretty excited about the new Chaos models that are about to be released this weekend. They all look really nice. But I thought I would finish off the Dark Angels that I had been working on the last couple of weeks. This time its the Ravenwing Dark Talon. I loved this model almost as much as the Nephilim Fighter. Yes it is funny looking with the cathedral on the back, but I still think the model is good one. Like the Nephilim I painted it in a very limited colour palette, with the exception of the neon blue for the front weapon. I also chose to paint the cathedral on the back in metallics. What do you all think? Let me know as I always like feedback.

Very dirty, and well worn, but it really works for this model. Great work. I like the cathedral on the back in metal.. gives it a different feel compared to the GW version, but if it was in stone/concrete I think it would be equally interesting, but less shiny 🙂 Good job on it!
My primary complaint is the hurricane bolters need their barrels drilled out.
Other than that looks nice. (can you post a rear quarter view)?
I really like it, you have managed to combine the challenge of highlighting/shading a black model, whilst still ensuring the weathering looks realistic and part of the model, not just painted on. Did you use an airbrush and/or pigments on this one? I would love to see a tutorial on painting black models like this. Cheers!
Agree with Matthew, tutorial or tips would be awsome…
Nice model!
