I’m not one to boast but I’m really happy with how these BAs
turned out. I took some chances with the colour scheme in that I used
quite a few stark colours and a much brighter red than usual but I think
that it worked out really well. With the
Assault Marines, it was pretty much a given. It’s just astounding how
well the old BA scheme works. Bright red armour (I’m a 2nd edition guy, dark red BA
never really worked for me), yellow helmets, beautiful. They’re all
third company so the sompany sign is that white drop (not really helping
if you want to get vibrant, colourful BA).
What’s your opinions on Blood Angels in general? 🙂

I love Blood Angels, and I really like your paint scheme. I like models to stand out when on the table or in a display cabinet and these obviously will. Are these part of a larger army ? I sure hope so 😉
Really, really nice paint job, your way of creating battle damage is really standing out in my opinion. As soon as I have improved my basic painitng skills I will give it a shot!
Regarding the color scheme, my first impression was: Old School! Really brought me back to when i started playing around 20 years ago 🙂 Personally i like darker schemes better to give it a "gloomy" look but thats down to personal taste…
As for blood angels, in my book they are tied no.1 with the space wolves for the coolest geneseed/curse in th W40k world! 😉
I love Blood Angels. If their model range would have been available before I started my Ultramarines I would have now an army of Blood Angels (and my Eldar wouldn't have been red but probably turquoise). Their main colours – red, gold and black – create such a classic and bold colour scheme.
Personally I'm always one for a brighter color scheme than usual. My Crimson Fists I'm painting at the moment for instance could be mistaken for Ultramarines lol. Really nice work.
