Hi all! Today I’d like to show you the new Legio Custodes model of Captain General Trajann Valoris. Some more pictures after the jump…
Really enjoyed painting this model, especially the cloak and lion.
I used the main components of Primarch Roboute Guilliman’s base and put them on a 50mm base. I thought this base size is more appropriate for such a character model. I think I have to paint some more of the new Custodes models…
What do you think? Have you painted some Custodes as well? Leave a comment…

Loving how well this turned out! How difficult was it to trim the giant feathers off the tilting plate without it being noticed? I like the way the axe is more defined without it, as you have done.
It was easy because it’s a seperate part. Cut along the tilting plate. You may want to shape a little bit on the back, but not necessarily.
Awesome, thank you!
Beautifull. I use the same gold recipe on my Custodes (I found it a month ago in one of your stormcasts posts :), very satisfied with the results! Thanks for sharing!
???
Awesome paint job. I agree that the base works well and really sets this character apart from the masses. An inspiration!
Thx ??
Would love to know your gold recipe. Looks great, top job!
Thx??It’s Retributor Gold washed with Reikland Fleshshade and Druchii Violet drybrushed with Liberator Gold and Stormhost Silver
Thanks for sharing. It's inspired me to paint my own (which I was building up the courage for).
