Working on a test model for my human Blood Bowl / Blitz Bowl team, the Nordland Navalists. I found inspiration in the Uniforms and Heraldry of the Empire book, I really liked the pale blue and yellow of Nordland, and, as I live in the north of Germany, it was kind of fitting. As with my Orcs, I went for an economic paint scheme based on Matt White primer from The Army Painter, washed with thinned Drakenhof Nightshade for the clothes. The white primer also allowed me to paint the skin mostly with washes and a quick highlight. Now, all that is left is highlighting the leather, cleaning up the model, and doing the base. What do you think?
Stahly
The mysterious masked Stahly is the founder and mastermind of Tale of Painters. Hailing from Craftworld Germany, he has been walking the Path of the Warhammer Collector since childhood. Over the decades, he has painted multiple armies and countless warbands and miniatures. When he's not painting miniatures or working on his library of hand-painted colour swatches, he's testing the latest paints, tools and model kits with German precision and a no non-sense attitude.

For the economic approach and the minimal work involved, he looks great. Just goes to show what a few washes and a key highlight can do.
I think he's gorgeous!
