Heyhey, a while ago I got to paint the Triumvirate of Ynnead. Here’s the first of them, the Visarch.
Very impressive (and big) figures. The figures are supposed to go with a Harlequin army I painted earlier. The colour scheme has a decidedly Bavarian bent, so the Visarch reflects this theme in his look as well.
I decided that the very reduced colour scheme works well with this figure since he features several different sorts of surfaces and textures (armour, cloth, fur), which gives enough contrast. While doing research for the colour scheme I happened across a colourful personality who calls himself Captain Bavaria. So during the painting process, I started calling the Visarch that.
Hope you like him, and stay tuned for more!
