I just put the last finishing touches to the Warpfire Thrower team. Instead of a realistic, red fire I chose to paint the flames on the little rat greenish. I used the same colours that I use for painting warpstone but in reverse order: P3 Morrow White, VGC Livery Green, VGC Scorpy Green, Snot Green and Dark Angels Green. I finished the fire with a final black highlight and added some small white dots for the blistering ash. It was actually the first time I painted fire but it went quite well.
Apart from the weapon team I also varnished all remaining Stormvermin models, so I’ll be able to take a proper group shot soon.

Stunning. The contrasts between light earth tones and dark tones are spot on. The fire and verdigris are exceptional. Well done!
Looking good, you did a great job on the fire.
