Just a quick thing in between – a Dark Angels Captain. It’s a Finecast model, the amount of flash and mold lines was minimal. A few unexpected new bits of flash in places where they wouldn’t have been with metal castings. Went together seamlessly, no air bubbles to speak of.

Thanks a lot, we appreciate any help to continue and grow Tale of Painters 🙂
The shiny metal skull on the sword is a nice touch. (If others have already been painting them that way, I hadn't noticed.)
I've got this model lying around somewhere, too. The proportions are a little more blocky than usual, but I quite like it and look forward to the finished paintjob!
@Paul D.: Cheers. I think even the 'Eavy Metal paintjob got the metallic skull but I might be remembering it wrongly. 🙂
@Stahly: Thanks. Space Marines from that time (it was just a year or so. The DA releases and the chapter masters like the master of the fleet and so on) were very interesting. Modelwise and paintingwise. High contrast, much red, huge, huge weapons – all in all pretty odd. I'm not saying that I didn't like it, it just looked off in a way that makes me almost think of recalls to early 2nd edition 40k but in a way it never existed.
