In our recent Tale of Mega Painters recap I raised the question whether I should paint something for my Eldar or my Ultramarines next. Most people voted for Ultramarines, so here we are. This will be a bike squad of five, I will probably only paint three for the time being as painting five models would stall the progress of my Dark Eldar for too long. As you can see, I went for a Sergeant with power sword and two plasma guns. Ultramarines can look a bit boring because they are so vanilla, so I gathered lots of bits from other marine sprues and even got some resin shoulder guards from Forgeworld to individualise the unit. How do you like them?

Stahly
Stahly lives in Craftworld Hamburg, located in the north of Germany. He has been involved with Warhammer since childhood and has painted several armies and countless warbands and kill teams over the decades. When he's not painting miniatures incredibly slowly, he's writing tutorials and testing the latest miniature paints, hobby tools and kits. He founded Tale of Painters to pass on his knowledge and bring inspiration to your hobby.
Great kit bashing Stahly. Changing the torsos is a big plus. The one that comes with the kit isn't great. I like your choice of parts.
Will you drill the barrels?
Speaking of the bolters, I'd rather change them for the new ones. Take the Ravenwing bikers from Dark Vengeance, IMO these look much better.
