I know I haven’t posted an update for my Banshees for quite some time now, don’t be afraid there is slow but steady progress. The first batch is done by now, and I made a start at painting the second one. Hopefully I’ll be be able to finish the squad soon. Looking at the three models in the front, I’m very happy with the paint scheme. I feel they compliment my Iybraesil paint scheme very nicely, and with the cool hues for their manes and their sashes they are a bit different from what you usually see when it comes to Howling Banshees. What do you think?

Hey guys, you can find most of the paints and techniques I used for these Banshees in my Iybraesil tutorial: http://taleofpainters.blogspot.de/2014/02/tutorial-how-to-paint-eldar-craftworld.html The only parts not explained there are the manes, which were basecoated with Wazdakka Red, washed with Carroburg Crimson, layered with Wazdakka Red, Pink Horror and a highlight of a mix of Emperor's Children with a little bit of VGC Squid Pink. And the leather was basecoated with VGC Dark Flesh, washed with Warpaints Dark Tone Ink, and highlighted with old Vermin Brown and Deathclaw Brown.
Any plans for a painting tutorial? These look awesome and I want to try your white/bone paint scheme on my White Scars SM.
The turquoise is very vibrant, it makes a great contrast with the bone! Great job!
Really nice! How did you achieve the rich turquoise colour?
They came out fantastic… absolutely love them. What color did you use for that bone? Its almost a clay color which I love… Great work cheers 🙂
Base colour is Rakarth Flash, P3 Battlefield Brown for shading (can be replaced with Dryad Bark), highlights are Reaper Master Series Polished Bone (can be replaced with Pallid Wych Flesh) and VMC White (White Scar). Cheers.
I totally see the Rakarth Flesh. Love that color… gives them a slightly sinister look. Love it!
