Hi all! Here are my first two miniatures of this year! Aeldari Ranger Amallyn Shadowguide and Rouge Trader Janus Draik from the Blackstone Fortress box set. Check out my version of Janus after the jump…
I really like this range of miniatures and it was a joy to paint them. The Aeldari Ranger was painted for a painting competion in my local store. I do have some more of the explorers of the box set (didn’t buy the whole set) which I will paint some day…
What do you think about my versions of these miniatures and Blackstone Fortress in general? Excited for the Ambull expansion? Leave a comment below…

Great looks for them! I might have to borrow that purple coat idea for Janus.
I'm about a third of the way through my set. Loving most of them, except for Taddeus (Good quality sculpt of someone who feels utterly repellent to me) and Amallyn (Horrible pose. Why is she up on her toes? Why is she trying to use a sniper rifle and a knife at the same time? I would have much preferred if she were posed more like one of the other snipers). I'm particularly grooving on the Renegades and the Beastmen, both of which are concepts I've wanted in plastic for almost two decades at this point, and are really great incarnations of those concepts. Looking forward to getting to the Rogue Psykers, too, but I'm focusing on the ones that show up initially for now, since I won't need a bunch of them until we get their Legacy Cards in play.
Definitely looking forward to the Ambull Expansion, but I also would have been with waiting a bit for it, since we've barely even started in on the base game.
Really cool paint scheme for Amallyn! Ginger Janus is also great.
