Out of all the models in the Conquest publication, this model is the hardest by far. Anything with a white undercoat sees me spending ages putting shadow and shading back into the model with every time I pick up a paint brush I run the risk of an accidental slip and getting a dark colour on the light armour. Just like I’ve done on his raised hand. This model is dragging as well. He’s taking so long to paint I’m not enjoying it at this point. Just want it done now.

He looks freakin aceballs :).
I always start white with a mid to light grey, they bring it up to strong white highlights. The idea of 'white' is that it isn't white at all it is light and shade and thus the base tone should be a shaded white…i.e grey 🙂
Your white looks sweet though, I love the blueish tone to the recesses and the smooth highlights. A beautiful HQ model that deserves this kind of paintjob.
Well done sir.
O and well done with your Conquest conquesting ;). I follow it like a good TV show and love seeing your progress (inspires me to paint more efficiently)
He looks amazing Garfy.
I love how dark the robes look next to the pristine white, even though I know they're very light brown. ????
I understand the pain, but he does look like on of your best models yet. you can see the car put into him.
AS he's a Dr though, I don't reckon much to his bedside manner. Literally standing on the Corpse of another Dark Angels Comrade. But I supporse, "In the Griim Dark Future" etc etc…
