I recently shared my finished Infernal Enrapturess, the leader of the Slaanesh half of the Wrath and Rapture set. Spurred on by this I decided to paint the hero from the Khorne side, Karanak, The Hound of Vengeance! This three headed pooch is a tireless hunter, the physical manifestation of Khorne’s Vengeance. Karanak will stop at nothing to hunt down the heroes who defy Khorne’s will.

I went for vintage inspired colour scheme with green frills. Funnily enough, when I was hobbying in the 90s I always thought the frill around the flesh hound’s neck was the Collar of Khorne. I never realised it was an actual brass collar until years later.
I haven’t made a tutorial for painting Khorne Daemons (yet) but I do have the paint recipes for them in my Showcase: Bloodthirster post. You can check that out here.

Karanak was the last model I had to paint for all the Khorne Daemons I own. That’s the first quarter of my Chaos Daemon collection done! I really enjoyed painting these and would love to return to them and paint some Khorne Daemon Engines like the Bloodthrone or Skull Cannon. They’ll have to wait whilst I continue my fleeting interlude with Slaanesh. I can’t wait to get all 4 Daemon armies done so I can reward myself with Be’lakor. Maybe after that I’ll start on the 4 mortal human Chaos armies.
