Showcase: Blood Angels Assault Intercessors (inc. painting guide)
Back in 2023 I painted five Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs. It was the third unit for my brand new Blood Angel army, by the time I’d finished them, I thought to myself “never again!” They took too long and I didn’t enjoy it. Fast forward nearly two years and I’ve recently finished another five, find out in today’s blog what changed my mind and I’ll also share how to paint them.
Showcase: Cadian Leman Russ & Chimera (inc. battle damage guide)
Greetings Hobby Heroes! I hope you are enjoying your hobby journey so far this year. I continue to work on my Cadian Army during January and February because Garfy and I are running some fun 40K games with our painted models. We have run games at 1000 and 1650 points, and it will all come to a head in a larger 2000-point battle this March.
Showcase: Aeldari Fire Dragons (inc. painting guides)
New army time and this force is a special one for me, Aeldari! I’ve decided to jump on board the web way train and ride the pointy-eared express and start a 1000pt Asuryani Crusade army. In this post we’ll take a trip down the infinity circuit and then roll the fate dice dice to see what lies ahead for my 3rd Aeldari army before finally following the path of the artist where I share my Fire Dragon painting guide.
Showcase: Horus Ascended with display base
As promised, here’s Part 2 of my Horus Ascended showcase, now featuring the mighty display base. Skulls, skulls, and more skulls in this post.
Showcase: Aeldari Warp Spiders Exarch (inc. painting guides)
Flicker-jumping his way through the webway, this Exarch of the Warp Spiders aspect shrine materialises in realspace. Celebrating the replacement of the oldest Aspect Warrior sculpts in the Eldar range, I grabbed one of the new plastic models and painted it to match my Craftworld Ulthwé collection.
Showcase: Blood Angels Scout Squad (inc. painting guides)
What happens when you want an effective anti tank unit for your Blood Angels but Games Workshop don’t sell what you need? Well you need to get kit bashing! That’s exactly what I’m sharing on today’s post, my Devastator conversions. Stay around to the end for the paint recipe card painting guide.
Showcase: Legions Imperialis Serperos ‘Overlord’ Heavy Stalkers (inc. painting guide)
The Dark Mechanicum received their first models for Legions Imperialis in December and I was lucky enough to be sent some. In this post, I paint up and share my colour scheme for the Serperos ‘Overlord’ Heavy Stalkers.
ToP Tip: A colour matching tool that really works
I’m sure you know the struggle: trying to match a paint from one miniature paint range to another, only to be let down by manufacturer charts, conversion tables, and paint database apps that ALL don’t quite get it right. I’ve wasted a lot of money on mismatched paints over the course of my hobby career. So, I sat down and spent the last few years working on a solution. The result is, in my opinion, the best paint comparison tool you can get, featuring professional hand-painted swatches for the seven most popular miniature paint ranges.

Showcase: Horus Ascended
The Warmaster ascended. Witness the culmination of countless hours of labour as I unveil my meticulously painted Horus Ascended. The Primarch of the fallen Luna Wolves Legion is a testament to the tragic beauty of betrayal, and in this post, I will show you my interpretation of the most pivotal character of the Warhammer 40.000 universe.
