Showcase: Eldar/Aeldari Howling Banshees of Craftworld Ulthwé (incl. paint recipes)
Anger rises. Death wakes. Painting… calls. I just finished a small squad of the new plastic Howling Banshees in a Ynnari-themed Craftworld Ulthwé scheme inspired by the 2nd Edition era ‘Eavy Metal models. And holy Emperor, these death-dealing ladies take a while to do them justice. Check out all the pictures plus the complete list of paint recipes.
Review: Eldar/Aeldari Craftworlds Howling Banshees kit
If you ask an Eldar collector what she*he wants, she*he will tell you this: plastic Aspect Warriors. In 2020, Games Workshop heard our plea and, after 14 years, released another Aeldari warrior aspect in plastic: Howling Banshees, harbingers of woe, arguably one of the most iconic Craftworlds units. In this (overly) detailed review we take a look at the sprues, the various Exarch options, compare the models to Jes Goodwin’s concept art and also see how they scale with the former metal Banshees and other Aeldari models.

Here’s the Yncarne, completing the trio of people who had their I and Y on theyr keiboard swytched. Talk about a complicated figure. 😀 But it’s really impressive how the parts fit together. Dry-fitting and lots of planning how to put it together so it…

Showcase: Yvraine, Emissary of Ynnead
After a little intermission, we got the next member of the Triumvirate of Ynnead – Yvraine. A darned impressive figure isn’t it. And for us old people GW got out the Gyrinx because they like to throw in bits to make old people happy, don’t…
Showcase: Catachan Jungle Fighters Sly Marbo
Hi, all! Next on my list was the “One Man Army” Sly Marbo of the Catachan Jungle Fighters. Although a Finecast model it came out very nicely, both building- and painting-wise. So next on the painting desk for my Allstar Killteam will be Sergeant Harker…
Showcase: Death Guard Kill Team by Shvagyer
Hi everyone, it’s Shvagyer again with another heretical Kill Team. Last time I showed you my World Eaters, but now it’s time for some Nurgle worship. The main goals were: leave no model unconverted get rid of all/almost all tentacles and weird growths that I…
Showcase: The Visarch, Sword of Ynnead
Heyhey, a while ago I got to paint the Triumvirate of Ynnead. Here’s the first of them, the Visarch. Very impressive (and big) figures. The figures are supposed to go with a Harlequin army I painted earlier. The colour scheme has a decidedly Bavarian bent,…
Showcase: Silver Skulls Primaris Captain in Phobos Armour
Hi all! I finished this Primaris Captain in Phobos Armour for the Silver Skulls Space Marines chapter. Although it is a simple colour scheme, the painting process was time-consuming because of the neverending details. I used a head from Reaver Marine to match the Silver…
