Usher into the Era of the Beast with the new edition of Warcry and our review of Heart of Ghur, the new starter set that relocates the game’s setting from the Eightpoints to the Gnarlwood in the Realm of Beasts. There are two brand new warbands to discover, a board full of new terrain, and slightly revised rules, so find out more in this review.
Showcase: Dominion of Sigmar Arcane Ruins
I’ve added a few new pieces to my Age of Sigmar / Warcry collection: columns and braziers from the Dominion of Sigmar sets, mounted on a baseplate from the old Warhammer Fantasy Arcane Ruins. Find out more in this post.
First look: Warcry Tome of Champions 2021
With some delay, the Tome of Champions 2021 for WarCry will be released. In this review, we take a look at the contents of this massive 156-page book and find out if it is worth buying.
Showcase: Warcry Fomoroid Crusher
Smashing through from the Eight Points this week is my take on the Fomoroid Crusher for Warcry. An overall amazing kit with a ton of options and bits. Reminding us that the word Ogre isn’t a synonym for a green swamp dwelling creature with Scottish accent voiced by a Canadian.
Showcase: Warcry Darkoath Savagers
On today’s post I share the Darkoath Savages I finished on the last day of December. These models are part of the Warcry Red Harvest Boxed Game and were the last models I needed to paint to complete that game. It always feels great to finish a boxed game. I also own a sizeable (over 2000pts) army of painted Slaves to Darkness, so these are great additions I’m happy to add.
Showcase: Warcry Tarantulos Brood
The Tarantulos Brood swing into action on the blog and prepare their trap with tempting showcase photography bait. If you’re here then you’re already been caught on the web.
Tutorial: How to Paint Tarantulos Brood Doomweaver
In this post, I’ll show you how to paint a Tarantulos Brood Doomweaver from the Warcry Red Harvest box set. I painted this model in 20 easy to follow steps. You’ll learn how I paint white webs, spider armour plates, poisoned skin and more. This tutorial is perfect for any of the models in the Tarantulos Brood like the Broodmaster or Broodkin. Find out how in this tutorial.

Welcome weary traveller, your journey across the Bloodwind Spoil must have been treacherous and fraught with danger. You’ll find no respite here at them there mines, for this is a deadly Varanite Delve where even the Daemon bound cursed machinery can end your mortal life. Check out my finished Warcry Red Harvest Terrain and I’ll share the paint recipes too.

In today’s post, I’m going to show you my Warcry roster and some example warbands I made using Cursed City models, Start Collecting Soulblight Gravelords and a Vampire Lord. The Cursed City is out of stock, Radukar’s Court is available to order on the Games Workshop online website or their in-store order points.
